Mustard and Crouton Crusted Pork Chops

These pork chops are a true straight forward and easy recipe. Simply breaded and oven roasted.
Using pantry friendly ingredients and a mere 30-40 minutes and your table with be graced with a winner.
Serve with steamed veggies, mashed potatoes, a garden salad or the pictured, Alfredo broccoli.
This recipe makes 4 pork chops.

 4 Pork chops, bone-in1/2 Slices of the pork shoulder can also be used. Roasting time may need to be altered. Internal temp of pork should be 140.
 5 oz Bagged CroutonsAbout 4 cups
 5 tbsp Yellow mustard, more as neededOr other mustard, Dijon, whole grain, etc. can be substituted
 Cooking spray, salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 400.
Line a baking sheet with foil.
Spray with cooking oil.

Using the crouton bag- crush croutons to coarse crumbs. You can do this by, releasing the air in bag and using a rolling pin or ice cream scoop, smash bag until desired crumb size.
Pour into a shallow dish.

Rub pork chops all over with mustard. Using more mustard if needed.

Next take mustard rubbed pork chops and pressing both sides into crouton bread crumbs. Alternatively you can place croutons into a ziploc bag and shake until chops are evenly covered.
Place on prepared baking sheet.

Bake chops, flipping once during cooking. For about 40 minutes, or until internal temp of chops is 140 degrees. Or slightly pink.

Let chops rest for at least 5 minutes. And then serve. Enjoy!
