Sautéed sliced mushrooms with salt and butter. Very simplistic, but delicious! Use these mushrooms to top burgers or steak. Check out the smash burger recipe as an option. They could also work in an omelette, served atop a crunchy piece of bread with a drizzle of balsamic or even just as a unobtrusive side.

Using a sauté pan, or skillet. Melt butter and oil over high heat. Add mushrooms to pan and give a quick flip or stir, coating mushrooms in hot butter and oil.
Allow mushrooms to sear, or brown, by leaving undisturbed for about a minute or so and then giving them a stir.
Turn heat down to medium.
Allow mushrooms to cook for at least 5-7 minutes. The longer the shrooms cook the more moisture with be pulled and gives them a good meaty texture.
Salt toward the end of cooking. This also allows the mushrooms to sauté, not steam in excess moisture.
Enjoy!
