Strawberry Topping

This sauce is great as a topping for ice cream, angel food cake or other desserts.

 1 lb Strawberries Rinse and chop if using fresh, but I use the bag of frozen strawberries
  cup White Sugar
 1 tbsp Lemon juice

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat.

Once boiling, lower to a simmer and cook for an additional 20 minutes until it starts to thicken.

Remove from heat and allow to cool. It will thicken more as it cools.
You can also make ahead and store for up to 3 days in the fridge.
