Craving a sweet treat? Try these little cuties.
You might be surprised what “secret” ingredient is used in this recipe, but! don’t let that stop you from trying them!
They taste like, a cross between a Reese peanut butter cup or a peanut-y snickers bar. Made in your own kitchen, and without any fancy equipment or ingredients.
This recipe can be altered for as many or as little “bites” you want to make- take the ingredients as a springboard.
Note- the chocolate needs a little time to harden, which can be done in a short blitz in the freezer, or overnight in the fridge.

INGREDIENTS
DIRECTIONS
Prepare a cookie sheet with a piece of parchment paper.
Take one date and slice “open”, from top to bottom- creating a “pocket” of sorts. Scoop a small amount, about 1/8-1/4 tsp of peanut butter inside date.
Add to peanut butter layer, 1 or 2 peanuts. Depending on the size of the date.
Gently squeeze together edges of dates around the peanut butter and peanuts.
Repeat with whatever amount of dates used.
Place on prepared parchment paper.
(If using the natural peanut butter it may be a little runny, so at this step the cookie sheet with the “bites” can be placed in the fridge for about an hour, or until set)
When dates and peanut butter are “set”… melt chocolate in the microwave, in increments, slowly as to not seize (over melt it- making it burnt) the chocolate.
You could start with about 2 cups (amount in a bag of chocolate chips).
Melting the chocolate may take about 1-2 minutes total.
Dip, using a toothpick or fork, peanut butter filled dates in melted chocolate and place back onto parchment paper. Top with a peanut or other nut of choice.
Place in fridge to set, or freezer for a quick set.
Enjoy!!
