Feeling guilty for throwing out your sourdough “discard”? Here is a perfect way to use it. It’s perfect for a snack or appetizer. Dip it in your favorite dip or add a slice of cheese.

 1 cup discarded sourdough starter
 1 cup whole wheat flouror 3/4 cup all purpose flour
 ¼ cup butter (melted)
 1 tbsp dried herbs (basil, oregano, parsley, rosemary, thyme, Italian herbs or a combination of any of those)
 1 tsp salt

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, add discarded starter, flour, butter, herbs, and salt. Mix together and knead the dough just until it comes together. If it is too sticky, just and a bit more flour.

Roll out super flat and brush with butter. Make sure to get them really thin. Sprinkle with more salt (optional). Cut the flat dough into square shape with a knife or pizza cutter.

Bake on parchment-lined baking sheet at 350 for 15 minutes. (or until brown and crispy)

Let cool and store in an airtight container or Ziplock.

Variation:
Sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seed, poppy seeds or combination of the seeds.
Everything Bagel seasoning or fresh garlic and herbs
For the sweet side: Cinnamon and sugar
