Do you miss travelling or the island life? Well, sadly, this dish does not replace travelling, but it might help with wanting to eat out. This is Hawaiian dish is very simple to make and does not take long, unless you are feeding a multitude.

INGREDIENTS
cooked rice
1 package of ground beef
3 eggs, cooked sunny side up
Gravy
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp flour
1 ½ cups beef broth
1 tbsp soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste
nutmeg, to taste (optional)
DIRECTIONS
For the patties:
1Form three patties (form them with a dimple in the middle, this will keep it flat after cooking). Heat a pan under medium high heat. Once it begins to heat, add about 2 tbsp of oil. After heating for a few seconds, gently place the patties. Season with salt. Cook until the meat starts to color. Flip once and only once, lol. Set it aside.
For the eggs

3Melt the butter in the sauce pan. After it is melted, add the flour, mix until combined. This is called a roux. Afterwards, add the beef broth and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg if so desired. Keep it under medium heat until it begins to thicken.
Tip: This is a pretty standard way for making gravy. Start with some kind of base (fat / onions / mushroom / etc.). Then make a roux by adding some flour (this will thicken it). Then deglaze with some kind of liquid, whether that is broth, cream, or a combination of both. After a while it will thicken. If it doesn't get thick, no worries, maybe the measurement was slightly off. You can always add cornstarch dissolved in water (starch is a thickening agent).
Plating
4Use the rice as the base. Place the patty on top. Add the gravy. Top it all off with the egg. Wear a hula shirt. Eat. Then, play the ukulele.
